Free Delivery

We have been transporting antiques for many years.  When you buy an item from us you can relax knowing that your delivery will be handled carefully, you will be kept informed and for most of the UK and Ireland, there will be no charge on even the largest of items.

Anything we can post will be carefully packaged. It will typically be posted out to you by the next day.

Delivery of larger items can take up to a week. Our items are checked over and carefully wrapped before loading. 
We email you, to confirm a date within a couple of days of your date of purchase, and again before we come, when will be able to give you a planned 2 hour time slot for your call.

We do ask that you can be there to accept delivery and help the driver off with your purchase.
Other than that you can sit back and take advantage of Abbey Antiques commitment to customer service.

Exceptions to free UK deliveries

We will do our utmost to stand by our free shipping policy but (with apologies) ~ it may be particularly difficult to arrange for some areas.
Free shipping cannot for example be provided for areas North of the line between FortWilliam and Inverness; The Isle of Skye, and some areas with a PA postcode.  We do not service the Scottish Isles, but delivery to Mainland ports is always possible.

Overseas Shipping

Some items are particularly difficult to ship overseas and the prices we are able to quote are very high. If you find that no shipping charge has been applied once you have selected an overseas shipping option then we are unable to ship the item. You may of course arrange your own shipping and we will do everything we can to help. We will deliver your item to your chosen UK shipper.

Our antiques are described and photographed as faithfully as possible. Our descriptions include a fair condition report. They clearly state age and dimensions. Our photographs are taken to represent the items as carefully as possible but please be aware that colours can vary across different systems.

Our Returns Policy

Our returns policy is simple. We understand you may not want to keep your item for any number of reasons. Just give us a call.

Your Security and Privacy

This site is secure and conforms to all of the relevant legislation. Payments made to this website are securely handled by paypal. You don't need to sign up. Other than your delivery address we don't keep your details. We won't be passing on your email address or phone number to anyone.
