About Abbey Antiques

Abbey Antiques is a family run business based on the outskirts of the historic Cathedral City of Hereford, England.  The business was established in 1945.  by Edwin Waring, who trained as a watchmaker with "Samuels" prior to the Second World War.

For over 50 years the business operated along traditional lines. Specialising in house clearances, we sold our stock by auction, and also directly to the public and trade through a retail shop.

The Abbey Antiques team recognised the power of the internet over 10 years ago and prioritised e-tail as the main outlet for their unique items whilst retaining the values of the traditional business -
excellent customer service, and quality of merchandise are paramount. Many of our customers come back time after time for more. 

I am Gary, and I am in charge of the eclectic group.  I read Engineering Science at Oxford University immediately before embarking on the long voyage into the world of antiques and collectables.  It is an exciting world full of bright characters and amazing objects.  You never stop learning, and you only ever scratch the surface.
